JESSICA CLARKE- TEAM MEMBER
Jessica studied visual arts and is a professional art therapist and registered psychotherapist (qualifying) working in Vancouver, British Columbia. While completing her art therapy training and research, Jessica discovered a specific type of non-death and living grief called chronic sorrow. Discovering and exploring chronic sorrow with art therapy helped to validate, comfort and empower Jessica with the often complicated and difficult feelings related to being a primary caregiver to a non-speaking child with high support needs. Jessica is passionate about sharing this knowledge with other caregivers to help dispel any guilt and shame associated with this role, including a loss of personal dreams.
Although she has always been intuitive and empathic, her exploration and development into spiritual realms accelerated while attempting to communicate and connect with her non-speaking son when many other modalities failed. For years, Jessica was focused on recovering her son from the depths of autism. Working with Suzy Miller and completing the apprenticeship program has transformed everything! Instead of fixing what was ‘wrong’ externally and with her son, Jessica became aware of the internal work that needed to be integrated within herself. Each shortcoming became a mirror that reflected back personal aspects needing attention. By embracing the fragmented facets of herself, Jessica was able to journey to a place of unconditional acceptance, gratitude, and joy while companioning alongside her challenges. Jessica is passionate about supporting anyone in a giving role by helping to identify and integrate aspects of the self that are lost in separation and in old conditioning. During a session with Jessica, she is able to connect multidimensionally and communicate with a higher vibrational field while helping you see, reflect and transform unintegrated parts of yourself.
Jessica uses a relational and positive psychology approach to help regulate the nervous system and realign with love, hope, and oneness and is trained in Polyvagal Theory (including the Safe and Sound Listening Program), Sensorimotor Art Therapy, PSYCH-K, and is studying the akashic records.
